Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to various home improvement materials. This role requires mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, spray guns specifically and experience working in a manufacturing environment. The Industrial Painter plays a vital part in ensuring the durability and quality of our products, contributing to efficient production processes and maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- Apply primers, paints, and coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or other methods
- Follow safety protocols including proper handling of chemicals and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Perform routine inspections of painted surfaces for quality assurance and touch up as needed
- Assist with machining or assembly tasks when required to support production workflows
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure compliance with lean manufacturing principles
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial painting or related manufacturing roles
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment used in painting applications
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses and material quantities
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to optimize workflow efficiency
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
