Reliable Rentals & Sales Ltd. is hiring a licensed mechanic for our Moncton equipment fleet. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Collishaw Street location.
The work changes from one job to the next. Some days you may be repairing a 60-foot boom lift. The next job could be a skid steer, mini excavator, forklift, generator or compactor.
We need someone who can find the problem and make a sound repair without unnecessary guesswork. You will also record the work completed and the parts used.
The work
- Inspect, diagnose and repair rental equipment.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and small-engine problems.
- Complete preventive maintenance and equipment safety inspections.
- Work on boom lifts, scissor lifts, skid steers, excavators, forklifts, generators, compactors and concrete equipment.
- Identify required parts and document completed repairs.
- Keep your work area and tools organized.
What you need
- Red Seal or recognized trade certification in Automotive Service, Heavy Equipment, or Truck and Transport.
- At least five years of relevant mechanical experience.
- Strong hydraulic troubleshooting and small-engine repair skills.
- A valid driver's licence.
- Basic hand tools.
- The ability to diagnose and complete repairs with limited supervision.
Experience with JLG, Bomag or similar brands is an asset. Aerial-lift inspection experience or previous work in the equipment rental industry would also be useful.
