SUMMARY
Performs routine tasks relating to the packing and shipping of all finished products, equipment, materials; provides assistance in moving products and materials within the production facility to the shipping area and loading shipment to vehicles as required by supervisor and lead hand
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Packing:
- Gathers various Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBs) and finished products from the Quality Assurance department for packaging in accordance with established procedures.
- Verifies product quantities post-packaging to ensure accuracy.
- Prepares and assembles appropriate packing materials for the products.
Shipping:
- Accurately complete all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, courier waybills, and other related forms.
- Verify product quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Update work orders in the MIS system.
- Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers such as FedEx, UPS, or other courier services.
Others
· Interfaces with staff within the department regarding packing and receiving, with suppliers and Couriers regarding to shipping deadlines and methods of shipping, locations
· Little choice of decisions making that affects packing and shipment methods of products and approval must be obtained from supervisor before proceeding with action outside of established procedures.
· Resolves simple problems on shipping, packing, and receiving under well-established procedures for clients, suppliers and couriers.
Skills:
- Completion of Grade 12 with at least 1 year of relevant work experience
- Proficient in identifying and recognizing a wide range of electronic components based on industry-standard markings and packaging
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with internal staff on packing and shipping procedures, as well as coordination with vendors and couriers regarding shipment details (Communication)
- Capable of operating a variety of office equipment, including wheel carts, tape dispensers, telephones, fax machines, photocopiers, and printers (Dexterity)
Effort:
- Requires daily focus, utilizing sight, hearing, and touch to accurately count incoming and outgoing products and materials
- Ability to follow instructions from the lead hand and supervisor
- Primarily standing and walking throughout the workday to complete job responsibilities
- Frequently lifts shipping boxes and bins weighing between 5 to 25 pounds

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
