Responsible for providing day to day operational leadership to ensure that the facility is operated in a safe, reliable and efficient manner in compliance with all regulatory and corporate standards and programs.
Oversees the execution of maintenance work within operating environment, reviewing and prioritizing maintenance activities, ensuring operational environment is properly prepared for maintenance work, ensuring that work is executed in a safe manner within regulatory parameters.
Provides day to day supervision of operations employees, including coordination of orientation, training and development, operator training qualification, scheduling, coaching and mentoring.
Lead and support facility performance monitoring and optimization – continues monitoring and optimization of process to ensure a reliable, safe operation of the facility within regulatory parameters.
Oversees the development of operational procedures, makes recommendations for development or modification of current procedures.
Actively supports OHSE goals through active participation with OHSE Committee, coordination of safety meetings, ensuring work permits are completed accurately, investigation of incidents and implementing recommendations.

4rd Class Power Engineer
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered
5 years of experience in an industrial process plant environment
Strong commitment to safety, understanding of industrial occupational health and safety requirements and hazards, experience with Health and Safety programs
Leadership skills – demonstrated ability to positively direct and motivate others toward common goals
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated team player
Sound computer skills

3rd Class Power Engineering Certification
Post-Secondary education (Trade, Power Engineering, Technical Diploma or relevant degree)
Experience within a leadership role
5 years of sour gas plant experience, with a strong operations process background
