One academic year contract running from August 2020 to June 2021
TCS is seeking outstanding and dynamic teachers who will be members of the Ontario College of Teachers as of September 2020. Reporting to the Director of Teaching & Learning, the successful candidates will be directly involved in the academic program of the School, covering classes, assisting experienced teachers, leading evening extra help classes, working with the day or residential house system, and other support roles related to teaching and learning.
Faculty Associates will be provided with room and board on campus and will be fully engaged in the co-curricular life of the School, including a combination of coaching athletics, helping with service learning activities, and working in the arts. Paid contracts (including health and dental benefits) are for the duration of the 10-month contract and are fully pensionable.
The two positions will serve any possible combination of the Math, English, Languages, Computer Studies, and The Arts departments in the Senior School (Grades 9–12). The successful Senior School candidates will have experience in one or more of the following academic disciplines:
Grade 9—12 Math, including practicum or teaching experience in MCR3U, MDM4U, MHF4U or MCV4U
Grade 9—12 English
The Arts, including practicum or teaching experience in music, drama, or visual arts
Languages, including practicum or teaching experience in French, Spanish, or Latin
Computer Studies, including practicum or teaching experience in any of TGJ2O, TGJ3M, TGJ4M, ICS2O, ICS3U, ICS4U
