As a Mechanical Designer, you’ll be at the heart of our process, designing and drafting custom service bodies, crane decks, and aerial units that go beyond expectations.
Your Role & Impact
- Innovative Design Work: Create and perfect 3D and 2D models for complex parts and assemblies using SolidWorks and Draftsight.
- Real-World Application: Generate plasma programs with Sigmanest, modify intricate sheet metal designs, and turn concepts into production-ready drawings.
- Collaborate & Improve: Partner with our project management and fabrication teams to optimize designs, integrate customer feedback, and make every project better than the last.
- Quality & Safety First: Drive quality and safety in all processes, ensuring that designs adhere to best practices and lean manufacturing principles.
- Continuous Growth: Play an active role in our R&D efforts, shaping new company templates and advancing your skills through peer collaboration and innovation.
What You Bring to the Team
- A degree in mechanical technology or engineering.
- 5-7 years of hands-on industrial design experience, including 3+ years with SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of EPDM, Draftsight, AutoCAD, Sigmanest, and familiarity with sheet metal and weldments.
- Experience with truck-mounted equipment or mobile cranes (an asset).
- Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.
