Security Operations Centre (SOC) Operator
Position Overview
The Security Operations Centre (SOC) Operator is responsible for monitoring and coordinating security operations across multiple locations all over the province. This role ensures the safety of employees, clients, and property by proactively identifying risks, responding to emergencies, and supporting security teams through centralized surveillance and communication systems.
Work Hours: Part-time overnight weekend shifts (graveyards)
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Surveillance:

Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control platforms across multiple sites.

Detect, assess, and respond to suspicious activities, and security threats in real time.
Incident Response & Emergency Coordination

Act as first point of contact for emergencies including medical incidents, fire alarms, and security threats.

Dispatch police, fire, or mobile security units as required.

Provide real-time support and direction to on-site security teams during incidents.
Security Operations Support

Coordinate with on-site security personnel and supervisors to maintain consistent security coverage across all facilities.

Assist in investigations of incidents, including gathering information, reviewing footage, and documenting findings.
Reporting & Documentation

Prepare accurate and detailed incident, occurrence, and daily activity reports.

Maintain logs of all security events, communications, and system alerts.
Access Control & Compliance

Oversee access control systems and verify authorization of employees, visitors, and contractors.

Monitor high-volume access points handling 1000-1500 individuals daily.
Customer Service orientated

Maintain a professional and respectful presence when interacting with staff, clients and visitors.

Answer and manage inbound and outbound phone calls professionally and efficiently.

Handle inquiries, complaints, and requests while maintaining a respectful and service-oriented approach.

Effectively multitask by handling phones, monitoring systems, and coordinating responses simultaneously.

Prioritize multiple incidents, alarms, and requests in a high-pressure environment.
