Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Servers to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position involves delivering food and beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and perform cashiering duties with accuracy.
- Provide friendly and attentive guest service, addressing any special requests or concerns.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling and service.
- Assist in food preparation tasks when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout shifts.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards in the food industry.
- Previous restaurant experience or background in food service is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and bill calculations.
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales revenue.
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and guests.
