We are seeking an Application Solutions Specialist to join our team based out of our Calgary office. This role supports the design, development, and optimization of modern business solutions using Microsoft technologies and emerging AI capabilities. This role enhances business processes, enable data-driven decision-making, and drive innovation through standardized applications, automation, and intelligent solutions. Solution development will focus on leveraging standardized applications, (i.e. SharePoint, PowerApps, PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Microsoft Flow, AI tools etc.) and will influence the methodology to be applied on projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, configure, and support solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint), incorporating AI capabilities where applicable (e.g., AI Builder, Copilot features).

Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and AI-driven enhancements.

Support the design and implementation of scalable solutions, including workflows, dashboards, and integrations across systems and data sources.

Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing applications and recommend continuous improvements, including automation and intelligent features.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define objectives, and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Develop and deliver reporting and analytics that provide actionable insights to business functions.

Validate and manage data integrity across systems, supporting data migration, transformation, and governance practices.

Provide user guidance, training, and support to ensure effective adoption of solutions and digital tools.

Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day issues related to internally developed applications and workflows.

Contribute to the development of standards, methodologies, and best practices for application solutions and AI usage.

Maintain documentation including solution designs, process flows, data models, and AI use cases.

Ensure solutions align with organizational data governance, privacy, and responsible AI practices.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Related University degree, college diploma, and/or trade certification and typically 9 or more years of related experience; or combination of formal education and experience. Professional designation preferred.

Proven ability to analyze and improve business processes through technology and automation.

Strong analytical thinking, data interpretation, and problem-solving capabilities.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and AI concepts to non-technical users.

Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint).
