Job Summary
Panorama Hills Animal Hospital is a privately owned facility in NW Calgary. We are seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our veterinary team of veterinary professionals. This vital role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing appointment scheduling, and supporting the daily operations of our clinic. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners, and experience in a veterinary or medical setting. Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments efficiently using our clinic management system.
- Answer phone calls, respond to client inquiries, and provide accurate information about services.
- Maintain detailed and organized patient records.
- Process payments and handle billing procedures accurately.
- Assist with laboratory tasks as needed- running lab samples, or preparing them to go out to the laboratory.
- Support the veterinary team with administrative duties to ensure smooth clinic operations, including cleaning/disinfection, restocking supplies and maintaining equipment.
- Assist RVT and Veterinarians with patient care
Experience
- Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathize with pet owners.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling and record keeping is desirable. This role is essential for maintaining efficient clinic operations while delivering compassionate care to our clients and their pets. Hours
We are open to accept part time or full time applicants. Applicant must also be willing to work 1-2 Saturdays per month. I look forward to meeting you and discussing this oppurtunity!
Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
