Aldaview Services, located in New Hamburg, ON, is a division of Tri-County Mennonite Homes (TCMH) that has two other divisions which work in the senior's sector: Nithview Community – New Hamburg, ON and Greenwood Court – Stratford, ON. TCMH is a non-for-profit organization and our mission is “Making Every Day Matter”. Aldaview Services has over 30 years of experience providing leadership in service to individual with developmental disabilities and offers competitive wages, pension plan, opportunities and benefits to its employees.
Duties to include:
Assist and support individuals with meeting the activities of daily living including personal hygiene, and life skills.
Plan, assist and support individuals with recreational and social activities
Implementation of Individuals Support plans, and support strategies
Strong focus on promoting Choice, Self-determination and independence for all individuals receiving supports.
Working with families to assist with the provision of positive supports for those living in the residence.
Have post-secondary education, diploma in the social services field such as DSW or PSW or enrolled in a recognized program would be an asset.
Knowledge supporting adults with autism spectrum disorder.
Experience with lifts and transfers.
Demonstrated experience working with adults with a developmental disability, preferably in a residential setting
A general understanding of the support needs of people with a developmental disability or mental health needs.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
An “F” class license will be required.
First Aid, CPR, CPI are required
Work Schedule: 4-week base schedule to include evenings, days and every other weekend.
Wage: $ 20.33 - $23.58 per hour
