Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and press brake machines to shape sheet metal with precision.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce accurate components.
- Use hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met.
- Set up and program CNC equipment, including CNC programming for various fabrication tasks.
- Perform welding operations using appropriate techniques to join metal parts securely.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
- Assemble fabricated parts according to design requirements, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely for material handling and positioning of heavy metal sheets or finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and press brake machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints accurately.
- Skilled in welding techniques suitable for sheet metal fabrication.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and machining processes.
- Ability to use hand tools, calipers, and other precision measurement devices effectively.
- Experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes; crane certification is preferred.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation.
- Knowledge of quality inspection procedures to ensure finished products meet specifications.
- Understanding of assembly processes within a manufacturing setting.
- Valid G2 Gas Technician License is required.
- Valid Commercial Sheet Metal Worker/Mechanic License or equivalent certification is required.
- Ability to work safely and follow all applicable workplace health and safety requirements.
