Job description
To provide supervision of the Public Works Department in accordance with Provincial legislation, Council direction and within approved budget constraints. The Public Works Department includes: Roads, Sidewalks, Bridges, Landfill Site, Parks, Municipal Buildings/ Facilities, Water and Sewer Operations.
The ideal candidate will have completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; Post-secondary education, experience and training considered an asset. Certificates and training in road operations and equipment, Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7, traffic control and safety, chainsaw safety and operator training. Minimum five (5) years related experience, preferably in a municipal environment; previous supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to prepare work schedules and exercise sound judgement.
