The Sooke Region Communities Health Network (SRCHN) is a charitable cooperative that supports healthy lives in healthy communities through innovative, collaborative development and improvement of services for everyone in the Sooke Region. Programs included Better at Home seniors non-medical support, Therapeutic Activation Program for Seniors (TAPS) seasonal tax clinic, seniors social and educational activities, transportation, resource information hub and volunteer centre.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Sooke Region Community Health Network runs the Better at Home Program for seniors over age 65. We provide our clients with light house cleaning services to allow them to age in place. We are looking to hire a cleaner that would be able to cover for our current cleaners vacation/sick, provide deep cleans as clients are onboarded and carry a client caseload that can grow depending upon your availability and funding. As well as provide office cleaning. Mileage is reimbursed. Approx. 12hrs/week to start. You will have some flexibility to schedule most clients between 10am - 5pm Monday through Friday.
Requirements:
- A compassionate, discrete, patient, and nonjudgmental attitude towards working with the senior population.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to schedule own appointments.
- Must be able to reliably commute to job locations on time.
- A clear criminal record check for vulnerable populations is required.
- The ideal candidate lives within the Sooke area or close to Sooke, and has access to a vehicle.
- If you enjoy helping others, have house cleaning experience, have worked with seniors or vulnerable populations, are organized, detail oriented, and a good communicator, we would love to hear from you.
- Ability to service East Sooke to Jordan River.
