Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler to join our client’s team in Etobicoke, Ontario. This is a temporary, full-time position with the possibility of extension or permanent placement based on performance and business needs.
As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for building electrical control panels, wiring HVAC equipment, reading and interpreting blueprints and wiring schematics, and ensuring high-quality assembly of HVAC electrical systems.
Duties
- Assemble and wire HVAC electrical control panels according to drawings and schematics
- Wire HVAC equipment, including motors, sensors, actuators, control devices, and related electrical components
- Connect control panels to HVAC units and verify proper electrical connections and functionality
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical documentation
- Mount components such as relays, switches, circuit breakers, transformers, and terminal blocks
- Perform wire cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, and termination inside panels and HVAC equipment
- Conduct continuity checks, electrical testing, and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation of assembled systems
- Inspect finished panels and wired HVAC equipment for quality, accuracy, and function before shipping or installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely and accurately
- Follow health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in electrical assembly, preferably in HVAC or a related industry
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Experience wiring HVAC equipment, control panels, and low-voltage electrical systems
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical wiring and control circuits
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and electrical best practices
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electrical or electronics is an asset
Work Environment & Conditions
- On-site work at the client facility in Etobicoke, Ontario
- Monday to Friday, day shifts
- Requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working with tools for extended periods
- PPE and basic tools provided by the employer or agency
