Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle drop-off to pick-up. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have dealership experience and a solid understanding of automotive repair processes, enabling them to effectively upsell services and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival at the service department.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Explain repair and maintenance services clearly, providing recommendations based on mechanical knowledge.
- Prepare detailed work orders and communicate customer needs to technicians.
- Upsell additional services or repairs that benefit the customer while maintaining trust.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
- Follow up with customers regarding vehicle status, additional needs, or future service opportunities.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, repairs performed, and sales made.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through professional communication and attentive service.
Requirements
- Previous dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience working with automotive repair is a strong advantage.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Sales experience, including upselling techniques, is desirable.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Valid driver’s license is required; clean driving record preferred. This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic automotive team dedicated to providing outstanding service and building lasting customer relationships.
Pay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
