General Labourer – Foundation Repair & Waterproofing
Foundation Doctors LTD is looking for a dependable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team. We specialize in foundation repair, waterproofing, weeping tile replacement, sump pump installations, and excavation throughout the Edmonton area.
This is a physically demanding position that offers stable, full-time work with opportunities to learn a skilled trade and advance within the company. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, values safety, and enjoys working as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with foundation excavation and backfilling. (Manual & Excavator digging)
- Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Assist with foundation waterproofing, crack repairs, weeping tile installations, sump pump installations, and other foundation repair projects.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Prepare and maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Assist with grading and site restoration after projects are completed.
- Work alongside experienced technicians to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standard.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Represent Foundation Doctors professionally while working on customers' properties.
Requirements
- Previous labor experience is required. (1 year minimum)
- Experience with foundation repair, waterproofing, or heavy civil work is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 60+ lbs, digging, carrying materials, climbing ladders, and working in trenches.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow directions.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Experience operating a mini excavators, or other construction equipment is an asset but not required.
