We are seeking dedicated, detail-oriented, and collaborative individuals to join our team as Teacher Assistants for the 2024/25 sessions and future academic years. This is a great opportunity for those seeking a full-time role assisting in secondary school education!

Responsibilities:
· Conduct Online Lectures using D2L System - work on video recording with well-prepared lesson plans;
· Plan Course Overview - set up your course and meet the specific course expectations;
· Plan Lessons for Units - outline your course lesson plans and include step by step processes in teaching the required skills and materials for the lessons in each unit;
· Assist in research related to course materials under the guidance of the principal and teaching staff;
· Provide detailed feedback on student assignments and exams;
· Grade a majority of student coursework and exams based on the provided rubrics and grading guidelines;
· Support teachers by organizing and preparing teaching materials;
· Help monitor student progress and provide insights to teachers to improve student outcomes;
· Participate in staff meetings and contribute to discussions on course development and improvements.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
· Language: English&Mandarin (Required)
· Ontario Certified Teachers preferred but will consider teaching candidates with at least one-year professional, successful teaching experience in English, Business and/or Social Science.
· Must be familiar with the Ministry of Education Curriculum and Growing Success;
· Must be able to incorporate Growing Success Assessment as/for/of Learning into Lessons;
Expected start date: 2024 Fall
Wage: $18-21.00 per hour
