We are seeking an experienced Material Handler for Fort McKay Logistics LP. The Material Handler is responsible for locating, verifying, and issuing material in a timely and economical manner to meet deadlines. The incumbent is responsible and accountable for knowing and working in accordance with the site specific and Fort McKay Group of Companies Health and Safety Policies as well as working in such a way as not to endanger him or herself, fellow employees, the public or the environment.

Key focuses:
Operate equipment (forklift) safely for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking and counting product
Properly unpack, check for damage and verify all materials before receiving and putting away
Label material for staging and/or storage
Report shortages, overages and damages of material immediately
Repack/secure materials for transport or storage in appropriate areas
Arrange for movement to delivery or staging areas
Pull, prepare and verify all outgoing product shipments to ensure they are accurate and completed
Verify and report all non-available product, according to product availability and report to direct supervisor
Assist in completing inventories and ensure proper stock rotation
Provide site delivery service
Provide assistance or escort those entering the Warehouse space
Escort trucks on and off site
Perform pre-trip inspections on company vehicles
Ensure all electronic information and tracking is kept current as required
Ensure stock and pick quantities are correct, investigate discrepancies
Verify part numbers, descriptions, and quality of products as you stock and pick
Ensure all documents are cleared from computer system at end of shift
Report all hazards and follow up to ensure they are corrected
Report all facility or equipment damage to direct supervisor immediately
Participate in all investigations and training
Follow all documented processes as outlined
Effectively communicate with Lead Hands and Team Leads regarding progress or work, barriers to completion or deadlines, deficiencies or issues and work together to provide solutions
General housekeeping duties as needed, ex – garbage, dumpsters
7 on – 7 off schedules; days and nights

Experience and Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Minimum of three (3) years experience is required
Class five (5) Driver's license, along with a clean five (5) year driving abstract is required
Forklift Certificate is required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
SAP experience is an asset
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Valid CSO certification (or combination of CSTS and OSSA or BSO is required)
This is a permanent full-time position located at the Canadian Natural Albian Sands site.
