Marcon Metalfab (www.marconmetalfab.com) is hiring a Structural Steel Project Coordinator to join our growing and dynamic company based in Delta’s Tilbury Park.
Duties include:
- Your job responsibilities as a Project Coordinator are to work alongside and assist Project Managers on projects.
- Perform reviews of shop drawings and erection drawings.
- Maintaining the Project Folder & all relevant information.
- Reviewing, understanding, and ensuring Customer Standards are followed.
- Assisting with detailing and checking operations.
- Responsible for releasing shop and field drawing lists for editing.
- Performing quality inspections and control on all drawings.
- Reviewing Site Instructions (SI) and Managing SI log.
- Creating Request for Information (RFI’s).
- Managing RFI Log and issuing it to clients.
- Follow up RFI responses to receive the missing information.
- Monitoring and tracking Extra Work Order’s (EWO’s).
- Managing Project Data such as the Revisions, IFC, IFA, RFA, etc.
- Responsible for issuing shop and Erection Drawings.
Requirements:
- +10 years of experience as a Structural Steel Project Coordinator.
- Familiar with Structural Steel Drafting Quality control.
- A thorough understanding of steel detailing and structural steel Fabrication.
- Knowledge of both AISC and CISC standards.
- The willingness to develop knowledge relevant to the structural steel industry.
- Proactive and logical thinker who takes initiative to solve problems early.
- Capable of performing your duties with a minimal amount of supervision.
Skills:
- Knowledge of Computer-assisted design (CAD) software is an asset.
- Skills with office software including Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
- Able to read Structural and architectural drawings.
- Detail-oriented, precise, and organized.
- Able to organize multiple jobs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to check Shop issues and Erection Drawings prior to release.

Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
