We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Pension Management Team as the Manager, Legal and Plan Policy where the work will be dynamic and sometimes unpredictable. This role is important because you will be is responsible for providing legal advice and assisting the General Counsel & Vice President, Pension Management on matters and strategic initiatives relating to Pension Management, pension policy and other relevant business areas of CAAT. Such matters may include plan policy, business and governance considerations as part of day-to-day operations, and support for strategic initiatives, as applicable.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
Superior analytical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex situations and synthesize relevant information
Adaptable in changing work environments
Strong business acumen
Strong judgement and high integrity
Action-oriented, high degree of initiative, ability to prioritize multiple tasks
A Law Degree (LL.B., LL.L, or J.D.), membership in good standing in the Bar of one of the provinces or territories of Canada and qualifications to practice law in Ontario along with five (5) or more years’ of professional experience as a lawyer make you an ideal candidates. You must also have significant experience conducting research and writing legal opinions and in relation to activities of a multiple employer pension plans and be experienced in providing legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders including senior management.
