Forged Construction, is an Ottawa based construction and renovation company. We service Ottawa and the surrounding areas. Our team is made up of experienced professionals who have a passion for construction and a dedication to excellence. We specialize in custom bathrooms and kitchens, rental property renovations, as well as decks, railing, exterior bars and seating areas, flooring, and more.
The right candidate for this position will be someone with a life-long learning attitude, and an introductory experience to working in the construction or a skilled trade field. As a Renovation Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting the team in carrying out each job, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
This role is designed for someone looking to build a long-term career in residential construction. Successful team members have the option to grow with the team into lead hand roles.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assisting carpenters and renovation crews on residential projects
- Moving materials and preparing job sites
- Learning hands-on skills in flooring, tile, framing, cabinetry
- Keeping sites clean, organized, and safe
You will be trained on the job and exposed to multiple aspects of residential and rental property renovations.
Requirements:
- Experience in construction or renovation is an asset, but not required
- Exposure to power tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Life-long learning attitude
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions
- Must have Valid driver’s license
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
Education:
- Secondary School (required)
Experience:
- Construction: 1 year (preferred)
- Skilled Labour: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
