Position Summary
The Shift Supervisor / Trainer is responsible for leading day-to-day restaurant operations while ensuring new team members receive effective onboarding and training. This role supports a positive guest experience by maintaining barBURRITO’s standards for food quality, customer service, cleanliness, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
- Train and onboard new employees on company procedures, food preparation, customer service, food safety, and cash handling.
- Coach team members and provide ongoing feedback to support performance and development.
- Ensure all employees follow barBURRITO standards, policies, and health and safety requirements.
- Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and service standards throughout each shift.
- Assist with scheduling, inventory management, and shift-related administrative tasks as required.
- Lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or quick-service restaurant experience.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.
- Strong communication, coaching, and training skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead a team effectively.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset.
