We are looking for a people-focused, patient, experienced Server to join our Dining Services Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who likes fast-paced environments, providing excellent customer service, and working closely with a team. Responsibilities for this new position include taking orders, serving meals in a timely manner, and providing friendly experiences for residents, families, and staff. This is a busy position with many simultaneous priorities, so if you enjoy multi-tasking, prioritizing, and serving others, this could be the position for you! This is a casual role with lots of opportunities to pick up shifts. Shifts include 12pm – 8pm and 4pm – 8pm, and may be any day of the week. This role is ideal for someone with flexible availability.

Qualifications:
- Smart Serve Certified
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
- Minimum one year of related experience in the food service industry
- Customer service experience
- Exceptional listening and communication skills
- Knowledge of POS system an asset
- Track record of reliability and punctuality
- Detail oriented with exceptional time management skills
Main Responsibilities:
- Set and reset tables before and after meal service
- Ensure cleanliness and proper arrangement of dining areas.
- Greet residents and guests and escort them to their table, assist with their mobility devices as needed.
- Take meal and beverage orders accurately, noting preferences and dietary restrictions. Enter in POS system to prompt Kitchen Team.
- Serve food and beverage promptly and monitor residents’ needs during meal service
- Ensure all special dietary requests, allergens, or any related issues are promptly communicated to the kitchen staff to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
- Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following all Health and Safety Standard, client and regulatory rules and procedures.
- Assist in putting away dishes
