How you will contribute
You service Tradition’s customers by ensuring that all orders are processed accurately and outbound shipments are planned efficiently.
Essential Duties
As the Purchasing Coordinator, you are responsible for the following.
- Manages purchase orders for Raw Materials including ingredients, packaging, and other supplies
- Ensured orders complied with cost and space requirements
- Consistently exceeded expectations in managing Vendors' performance
- Aligned resources for the successful completion of new projects
- Work closely with the Inbound transportation team to oversee the sourcing of materials from the U.S.
- Collaborated with FedEx Trade Network to facilitate the efficient clearance of inbound supplies.
- Ensures timely processing of inbound orders for raw materials.
- Coordinated and resolved quality non-compliance issues regarding raw materials in collaboration with suppliers.
- Provided necessary assistance in the management of particular Supply Chain Projects as instructed.
- Defining MOQs and EOQs for all internal and external vendors (customer's vendors) according to our needs, costing, shelf life and warehouse space constraints.
- Responsible for negotiation and tracking of commodity contracts to achieve the best overall contractual agreement.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to establish a robust secondary vendor sources program, ensuring uninterrupted business operations.
- Ensures procurement KPIs, self-assessments and vendor performance scorecards are completed.
- Responsible for payment terms, discounts and rebates with all vendors
- Responsible for understanding the 'total landed cost' of materials (i.e. purchase cost, freight cost, duties, clearance, etc...) and ensuring that these costs are accurately reflected in existing and future pricing models.
- All other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
