About This Opportunity:
CPA Ontario is seeking an Event Specialist to lead the full life cycle of planning and executing in-person, hybrid, and virtual events that strengthen member engagement, build community, and enhance our brand. You will bring strategic vision and innovative ideas to design events that are impactful, creative, and seamless in execution.
Reporting to the Conference and Events Manager you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and event agencies to deliver experiences that are both memorable and measurable.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Leading the end-to-end planning and execution of high-impact events with a focus on strategic design, innovation, and audience engagement.

Partnering with stakeholders and agencies to design event formats that enhance member engagement, build community, and strengthen brand awareness, while measuring and reporting on outcomes.

Overseeing logistics for in-person, hybrid, and virtual events, including venue, catering, production, and vendor management to ensure flawless execution.

Managing event technologies (registration, streaming, engagement platforms) and serving as the technical lead during virtual and hybrid events.

Tracking budgets, timelines, and event KPIs, conducting post-event debriefs, and introducing creative ideas to continuously improve future events.
To Be Successful You Need:
-
Equipped with a degree or diploma in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field; CMP designation preferred or in progress.

Experienced with 5+ years in event and/or conference planning, including strategic design, attendee engagement, and logistics.

Experienced in using event platforms (e.g., Cvent, EventMobi, RingCentral, Slido, Zoom, Streamyard, vMix) and knowledgeable in AV, staging, and production requirements.

Proficient in project management and collaboration, with the ability to build trusted relationships across stakeholders, vendors, and executives.

Recognized for organization, attention to detail, and sound judgement in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Salary Range
-
The starting annual salary range for this position is between $66,300 - $82,900 per annum, based on your qualifications, experience, and internal parity. Exceptions may be considered with further review.
