About the Role
Multani Custom Homes Ltd. is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support its residential construction operations in Brantford, Ontario. The successful candidate will manage procurement activities involving construction materials, equipment and services, including supplier evaluation, contract administration, cost analysis and project logistics.
Responsibilities
- Source and purchase construction materials, equipment and services.
- Identify, evaluate and qualify suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability and delivery performance.
- Request and review quotations and negotiate pricing and other terms with suppliers.
- Determine, negotiate and administer supplier contract terms and conditions.
- Establish and monitor delivery schedules to support construction project timelines.
- Analyze procurement costs, spending patterns and supplier performance and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain procurement records and optimize purchasing processes using SAP Materials Management.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with suppliers, contractors and project teams.
- Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in supply chain management, business administration, commerce, economics, finance or a related field.
- At least three years of procurement, purchasing or buyer experience in construction, infrastructure, civil contracting or a comparable project-based environment.
- Proficiency with SAP Materials Management is required.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills using Microsoft Excel, SQL and Power BI.
- Experience interpreting technical specifications and supporting Design-Build or similar construction projects.
- Strong negotiation, supplier-management, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment and manage competing project deadlines.

- Two weeks of vacation time and 4% vacation pay during the first five years of employment, increasing in accordance with Ontario employment standards.
