Job Summary: This position is primarily a delivery driver within Guelph and surrounding communities. As a qualified candidate to join our industry leading team, you require:
Responsibilities:
- plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day
- loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery
- delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining proof of delivery when required
- restocking automated Tool Dispensing Machines
- maintains basic records of mileage & deliveries made
- assists in general warehouse duties as required
Required Skills:
- Ability to drive safely in all weather conditions.
- Ability to use navigation tools such as GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
- Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Education:
- Class G license
- Will be required to provide Driver’s Abstract (Statement of Driving Record) from the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and also maintain a clean driving record free of moving violations or other offences that would limit or preclude his/her ability to drive a vehicle.
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
