Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, fast-moving, and detail-oriented Kitchen Hand & Dishwasher to join our team for the dinner and closing shift. This role is the backbone of our evening service, ensuring our chefs have the tools they need and that the shop is left in pristine condition for the next morning.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in a clean workspace, and isn't afraid to jump in where needed during a busy rush.
Duties
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and storage areas
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and basic food handling
- Ensure all dishes are returned to proper storage areas in an organized manner
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to uphold health standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to support efficient restaurant operations
- Assist in waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Assist the line with basic prep tasks during busy periods (e.g., portioning ingredients, fetching stock).
- Keep the kitchen floor clear of debris and spills to maintain a safe environment.
Skills
- Punctuality: You arrive on time and ready to work the evening rush.
- Experience in cleaning and dishwashing in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food handling, and basic food preparation is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Prior experience in food service or hotel environments is a plus
- Basic understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
