Registered Nurses (RN) / Registered Practical Nurses (RPN)
We are seeking Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses to join our team. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for assigned patients in acute care, community, retirement home, and home care settings. We are looking for nurses who lead with compassion, work with heart, and are deeply committed to client-centered care delivered with respect and dignity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and contribute to the development of individualized, client-centered care plans
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions based on patient needs and established care plans
- Deliver nursing care in acute care, community, home care, and retirement home environments
- Perform advanced and routine wound care, including sterile dressing changes
- Administer medications and injections (subcutaneous, intramuscular, intradermal, and as authorized within scope of practice)
- Initiate and manage IV therapy (where scope and certification permit)
- Monitor, document, and promptly report changes in patient condition to the appropriate healthcare provider
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to support treatment plans
- Support seniors with chronic disease management, medication administration, and health monitoring
- Deliver compassionate, respectful, and dignified care to residents in retirement home settings
- Educate patients, residents, and families on health maintenance, medication management, and disease prevention
- Facilitate referrals to healthcare professionals and community resources
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide first aid/CPR as required
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed electronic documentation
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards and retirement home regulations
- Uphold professional, legal, and ethical standards of nursing practice
- Provide emotional support and advocacy to residents and their families
- Support palliative and end-of-life care where applicable
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
- Current registration in good standing with the appropriate provincial regulatory body (e.g., CNO)
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing
- Acute care experience required
- Community and home care experience required
- Retirement home experience required
- Demonstrated experience delivering compassionate, caring, and client-centered care
- Current CPR/BLS certification (ACLS an asset)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (if applicable for community visits)
- Clear vulnerable sector check
