HECO Limited is a growing commercial and industrial refrigeration contractor serving Hamilton, Niagara, Burlington, and the GTA. We specialize in refrigeration systems for food processing plants, cold storage facilities, grocery stores, ice rinks, and industrial applications.
We are currently looking for a motivated Refrigeration Apprentice to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
- Work on compressors, evaporators, condensers, controls, piping systems, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot refrigeration and HVAC systems alongside experienced mechanics
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Follow all safety procedures and refrigeration handling requirements
- Complete service documentation and communicate clearly with customers and team members
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as required
Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
- Registered 2nd to 5th Year Refrigeration Apprentice
- Must be on the ORAC Ready to Hire List or a member of UA Local 787
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- ODP Certification
- Gas Fitter license considered an asset
- Controls experience considered an asset
- Previous ammonia and/or CO2 refrigeration experience considered an asset
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional attitude with strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Pay: $25.55-$65.06 per hour
