Armor People Link is hiring for full time position of WEBBER for our client based out in Scarborough. Our client is a manufacturing company that deals into office furniture like chairs, table, etc.
The Webber applies webbing material to upholstery frames while meeting a fast-paced production schedule. This
role requires efficient and accurate attention to product quality and safety protocols. Tools used include hand
tools, pneumatic stapler, orbital sanders, drills, drivers and webbing machine.
This position is best suited to a dependable team player who demonstrates attention to detail, adapts to changes
and takes pride in providing quality work. Meeting the demands of a busy production schedule and delivering
high quality products in a timely manner furthers mission of making work comfortable for all.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- . Attaches webbing to furniture frames
- Identifies product to be webbed to determine the kind of webbing to be attached;
- Measures and cuts webbing to be used on the assembled the product frames;
- Attaches webbing, as per instructions, to the product frames using hand and power tools;
- Trims excess webbing from the frame of the chair;
- Understands and follows the daily schedule;
- Recommends acceptance or rejection of received assembled frames
- Ensures correct webbing was used on product and it was installed to the specifications.- Performs all tasks in keeping with the safety and quality standards
- Ensures quality of workmanship meets the standards;
- Notifies Supervisor of any issues with equipment or tools;
- Keeps work area clean and orderly;
- Follows all company and OSHA
Requirements:

A dynamic, enthusiastic and collaborative professional who is able to perform the manufacturing and general manual work duties. Person who is having basic work ethic and good attitude as an employee. This includes, but not limited to, Hard working, self-driving, eager to learn; eager to do a good job and having good communication skills. Good at time management, not to mention punctuality and regular attendance.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing facility an asset.
Completion of high school or training/education from a vocational/trade school is an asset.
General knowledge of industrial sewing machines and their use.
Rework skills and hand-eye coordination is a must.
