Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Pipe Layer, Excavator Operator, and Skid Steer Operator! In this multifaceted role, you will be instrumental in laying underground pipes, operating heavy machinery with precision, and supporting various excavation and construction activities. Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, backhoes, and other heavy equipment to perform trenching, grading, and material handling tasks
- Lay underground pipes accurately according to project specifications and safety standards
- Use horizontal drilling equipment for installing underground utilities with minimal surface disruption
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on all machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Assist in grading and paving operations using graders and other construction equipment
- Follow detailed plans and blueprints to ensure precise placement of pipes and infrastructure components
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate excavation activities and meet project deadlines
Experience
- Proven experience operating excavators, skid steers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and dozers in a construction environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques for utility installation
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials on-site
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and best practices
- Prior experience with Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery is highly desirable
- Construction industry experience involving pipe installation, paving, or grading projects is a plus
