Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Cashier to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks following company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and handling cash or card payments
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met
- Assist with food preparation and food handling as needed, including serving baked goods or light snacks
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently using strong time management skills to minimize wait times
- Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including basic math calculations for change and totals
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times during food handling and service
Experience
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Experience in serving, cashiering, or food preparation demonstrates readiness for this role
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is advantageous
