Lynx Creek Oilfield Services is looking for a reliable, safety-focused Class 1 Truck Driver to join our growing team. If you enjoy operating heavy equipment, working in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in delivering quality work safely and efficiently, we'd like to hear from you.
As a Gravel Truck Driver, you will be responsible for hauling gravel, aggregates, and other construction materials to oilfield, construction, commercial and residential job sites while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and equipment care.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 gravel trucks on public roads, lease roads, and construction sites.
- Haul gravel, aggregates, and other materials to various customer locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Complete daily logbooks, inspection reports, trip documentation, and delivery tickets accurately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, customers, and site personnel.
- Load and unload materials safely while following site-specific procedures.
- Monitor vehicle performance and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Perform minor troubleshooting and basic maintenance when appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle.
- Follow all provincial transportation regulations, company policies, and health and safety procedures.
- Work safely in varying weather conditions and changing job site environments.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence.
- Current Driver's Abstract.
- Previous experience operating gravel trucks, tandem trucks, or other heavy commercial vehicles is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of hauling aggregates, construction materials, or oilfield products.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to conduct vehicle inspections and identify mechanical concerns.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of climbing, lifting, inspecting equipment, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
