Senior Financial Analyst

The
role will be responsible for successful implementation of financial reporting, strategic
planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis of revenue and KPIs. The position
reports to Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis and has frequent
interactions with LexisNexis business units to provide analytical support and help
business stakeholders make informed decision to drive improved business
performance.

Accountabilities:
Prepare timely and
accurate month-end financial results reporting for revenues and KPIs from source
databases
Collaborate with other
teams to assist in completion of monthly financial results and KPI reporting
Provide financial
reports for segments and product lines, proactively investigate performance
through analytics, identify and communicate trends and variances with
expected results
Develop and manage
revenue and KPIs forecasting and budgeting models to support business in
identifying risks and tackling new opportunities
Support in preparation
of strategic planning, budgeting, forecasts and month end results presentation
material
Collate and investigate
data to identify and determine trends and assess outcomes of sales and
marketing growth initiatives to support the business assumptions for sales and
revenue
Build and sustain a
robust knowledge of financial processes, revenue drivers, metrics and dynamics
across couple of areas including: Subscription based business, B2B, Online, Segments, Content
Respond to ad hoc requests for analytics to
provide support for product profitability, business case preparation and
investigation into financial performance
Load data to planning tools and finalize the
Hyperion submission
Develop excellent relations and maintain regular
contact with assigned Business Unit team(s)
Promote teamwork and a
collaborative environment across the Finance function and within the Company

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with Finance concentration, CPA/CMA/MBA preferred. Knowledge of financial and management accounting, process and systems
5 years of previous experience in a Senior Financial Analyst role. Understanding of the revenue or cost metrics and reporting working in a global organization (preferred)
Financial skills: technical analytical skills including trend, variance and profitability analysis
Business skills: Robust knowledge of financial processes, revenue drivers and dynamics for two or more businesses/industries including Online & Content with multiple product/service lines and multiple segments
System knowledge: BI, Excel (advanced level), Hyperion (preferred), Peoplesoft, fulfilment systems. Understanding of BI data structures and functionalities
Collaborative team player, energetic with positive attitude, drives change and continuous improvement, results oriented
Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills. Work well under pressure, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Experience of achieving results in an international environment, in a centralized function working through regular interactions by email, phone or video conference with appreciation of differences in culture, time zones and legal frameworks (preferred)
