Title: Line Cook
Department: Food and Beverage
Position: Seasonal May-Oct
We are looking for a mature and dedicated line cook to assist the Executive Chef in their daily duties. A line cook must possess a strong knowledge of our menu and recipes and play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction. Applicants must be passionate about high quality cuisine and work effectively with a team.
Key Responsibilities
o Adhering to all food handling and health & safety procedures
o Maintaining a clean kitchen and back of house including washing tableware, kitchen tools, etc.
o Plating food
o Food preparation (i.e. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, etc.) Disposing of waste & recycling
o Maintaining a high level of attention to detail from day to day
o Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
o Previous experience working in a busy kitchen
o Familiarity with cuisine is an asset - Thorough understanding of safe food handling
o Demonstrates a high level of self-discipline in work habits and work quality
Skills
o Positive attitude and respectful demeanor
o Dependable, hard-working and disciplined
o Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task
o Enjoys physical work
Requirements
o Ability to stand for extended periods
o Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
o Available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
o Working in a kitchen environment
o Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50lb
