Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body / Collision Repair Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, with experience in collision repair and bodywork. This role involves restoring vehicles to their original condition by repairing, replacing, and refinishing damaged parts. The technician will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued for this position.
Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and develop repair plans to restore vehicles to factory standards
- Perform body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct mechanical repairs related to collision damage when necessary
- Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming surfaces
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs within specified timeframes
- Follow all safety protocols and industry standards during repair processes
Requirements
- 5+ years in a dealership or collision repair shop
- Comfortable colour-matching and blending paint
- Ability to perform automotive repairs with precision and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in an automotive repair environment
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license is advantageous but not required
