Do you enjoy road trips, camping, and exploring BC?
We are seeking an adventurous person to join our food truck family. Yes, I know cliche, but it is a family business. Meals and accommodations (mostly tenting) are provided.
Duties
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers professionally and courteously
- Take customer orders accurately and upsell menu items when appropriate
- Operate POS systems for order processing, handle cash transactions and provide correct change using basic math skills
- Prepare and serve food items according to company recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the truck’s kitchen and service areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Uphold sanitation standards and ensure the truck meets health department requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of POS system, if you have a smart phone you will do just fine
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Understanding of food safety protocols and sanitation practices
- Kitchen experience or food handling certification is advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work variable hours based on schedule demands
