Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Window Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team. This role involves cleaning and maintaining the appearance of windows across commercial and residential properties, ensuring a spotless and streak-free finish. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial work, possess excellent time management skills, and demonstrate strong communication abilities to coordinate effectively with clients and team members.
Duties
- Clean windows of various sizes using hand tools, squeegees, and cleaning solutions to achieve a streak-free finish
- Utilize power tools and specialized equipment for high or hard-to-reach windows safely
- Perform facilities maintenance tasks related to window frames, sills, and surrounding areas as needed
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas requiring additional cleaning or repair
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored after use
- Adhere to safety protocols when working at heights or using heavy lifting techniques for large or elevated windows
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the cleaning results
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment
- Experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or facilities maintenance preferred
- Strong understanding of window cleaning techniques and safety procedures for working at heights
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for large or bulky items or equipment
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members
- Attention to detail to ensure a thorough and high-quality clean every time
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a professional attitude
