Under the general direction of the Manager, Admissions, of the University of Guelph-Humber, the International Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the University of Guelph-Humber meets its international enrollment and revenue targets, by assisting in the development, implementation of recruitment and admissions strategies to generate a strong pool of registered students. As well, the incumbent will be responsible for the adjudication of international applications, inclusive of exchange students. The Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator will be required to travel internationally to participate in fairs, school visits, etc., and work on building the University’ presence off-shore for approximately 4-6 weeks annually. In addition, the incumbent will be required to support international student orientation activities for registered students.
The successful candidate will have a four year degree with a focus in Business, Public Administration or Communications. They will have three (3) years' experience in a international recruitment admissions, student services, with decision making and auditing capacity. The successful candidate must have an understanding of post-secondary systems, domestically and internationally. They will have experience working with international students, including an understanding of other cultures and the ability to communicate in a cross-cultural working environment.
