- AM Shift: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- PM Shift: 2:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
- The PM shift often finishes around 11:00 p.m.
Position Overview
We is looking for reliable and hardworking Rental Car Cleaners / Vehicle Detailers to join our team.
This is a fast-paced vehicle cleaning position supporting a major rental car operation. Rental vehicles come through the cleaning facility continuously throughout the shift and must be prepared efficiently for the next customer.
This is light to moderate vehicle detailing. Employees are not required to shampoo carpets or perform heavy detailing.
What You Will Be Doing
Vehicles come through an automated car wash before entering the cleaning area.
Cleaners normally work in teams of two:
- You will clean one side/half of the vehicle
- Your partner will clean the other side/half
- Both employees work together to prepare the vehicle quickly and thoroughly
- Vehicles are cleaned continuously throughout the shift as they become available
Typical cleaning duties include:
- Vacuuming vehicle interiors
- Removing garbage and personal debris
- Wiping dashboards, consoles, doors and interior surfaces
- Using approved cleaning sprays and products
- Cleaning windows and other interior surfaces
- Performing light interior and exterior touch-ups as required
- Checking that the vehicle is clean and ready for the next rental customer
- Keeping the work area clean and organized
There is no carpet or seat shampooing. This is primarily a wipe-down, spray, vacuum and garbage-removal position.
Work Environment
This is an active, fast-paced position. Employees should be comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching and moving in and out of vehicles repeatedly throughout their shift.
Because rental vehicles are cleaned continuously, employees are expected to maintain a steady work pace while still meeting our quality and safety standards.
Breaks
Employees receive two 30-minute breaks during the shift:
- One 30-minute paid break
- One 30-minute unpaid break
Transportation
We provide a staff shuttle service to and from the Terminal 1 (T1) bus terminal at Toronto Pearson International Airport and the work location.
Employees are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the designated Terminal 1 pickup/drop-off location.
