Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an experienced Plumber at SMR Plumbing & Heating. The Plumber will be responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of plumbing & heating systems. The Plumber must have experience interpreting blueprints and building codes to select, install and maintain plumbing systems. The Plumber will be responsible for on-site communication with the project manager and client. The Plumber will be required to work on a range of projects, including new construction, renovations, and maintenance for plumbing, heating & HVAC systems.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years experience in service, residential and commercial properties
- Registered journeyperson plumbing certification and license in BC is required
- Backflow certificate is an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Positive and professional attitude
- Maintenance & Repair skills
- Ability to interpret blueprints and building codes to select, install and maintain plumbing systems
- Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot complex plumbing issues
- Strong communication skills with the project manager, clients, and other trades on-site
- Experience with gas fitting is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy items and work in cramped spaces is required
- Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract
Responsibilities
- Perform plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks as required.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction knowledge to complete projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installations.
- Engage in heavy lifting activities as needed during plumbing projects.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project success.
- Uphold safety standards and regulations while on job sites.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
