Serve as the medical and scientific lead for assigned Consumer Health product portfolios, including both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic products.
Partner with cross-functional teams to develop innovative, evidence-based, consumer-focused self-care solutions that improve health outcomes.
Provide strategic medical leadership to support product positioning, differentiation, and long-term lifecycle management.
Translate global medical strategies into local market plans, commitments, and deliverables for Canada.
Drive the development and evolution of scientific and healthcare ecosystems to advance consumer health and self-care practices.
Ensure all medical activities and communications are grounded in strong scientific evidence and aligned with business objectives.
Support the successful growth of product portfolios through medical insights, scientific engagement, and stakeholder collaboration.
Identify healthcare trends and leverage scientific insights to support innovation opportunities, including product development, claim enhancement, lifecycle management, business development evaluations, and OTC switch initiatives.
Serve as the medical and scientific steward for assigned product portfolios, ensuring evidence-based decision-making and strategic medical oversight.
Provide medical leadership for product launches, differentiated product positioning, and lifecycle management while translating global medical strategies into local market execution.
Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials to ensure medical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company standards.
Proactively monitor product safety concerns, develop risk mitigation strategies, and support pharmacovigilance activities as needed.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen scientific ecosystems, build scientific advocacy, and improve consumer health outcomes through innovative, data-driven healthcare solutions.
Develop and execute local strategic medical brand plans, maintain high ethical and compliance standards, support healthcare professional engagement, and serve as a backup for Medical Information activities.
KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent scientific/medical credential required.
Up to 5 years of experience within consumer healthcare, the pharmaceutical industry, or pharmacy practice.
Knowledge of clinical drug development, pharmacovigilance, risk-benefit assessment, and Canadian regulatory requirements for healthcare products and promotional claims.
Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach and commitment to scientific rigor.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Fluent French communication skills (written and verbal) and advanced English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint.
