Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving procedures, and operating material handling equipment. Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately
- Receive incoming goods, inspect for damages or discrepancies, and document receipt in warehouse management systems
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation and data entry
- Assist with order fulfillment processes, including order picking and packaging
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all loading, unloading, and storage activities
- Organize warehouse space efficiently to facilitate smooth distribution operations
- Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with logistics teams to schedule shipments and deliveries
Skills
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, shipping & receiving procedures, and order fulfillment techniques
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
- Familiarity with e-commerce order processing and packaging requirements
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and documentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
