Duties & Responsibilities:

We are currently looking for an Bar Events Manager for Edna + Vita We will prepare and support you for success in this role where sales growth and success will be rewarded. You will be placed in an environment that has the highest standards and with a team that has a positive attitude and a winning mindset.

As a Bar Events Manager for you will be responsible for the following:

Manage events efficiently and profitably ensuring guest expectations are met; and that the restaurant is set up to execute successfully.
Manage special orders with outside vendors where necessary.
Oversee and manage all bar staff and bar areas of the restaurant.
Develop and maintain relationships with potential guests, including corporate clients, hotel concierge staff, special event planners, and local businesses
Partner with the marketing team to plan social media and online presence related to event services.
Recommend food and wine pairings for each guest as required.
Conduct market research to identify current and emerging trends in beverage and bar experience.
Perform weekly bar inventory and order new supplies and ingredients when needed.
Ensure all house cleaning and closing duties are executed and the establishment closed to standards of practice.
Assess development needs and train and coach staff.
Delegate duties and tasks to staff to meet objectives and maximize resources.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards.
Maintain accurate records of all expenditures.
Build and maintain a productive partnership with the BOH leadership team to enable operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with and adherence to health, safety, and food-control regulations.
Create weekly schedule for the Bar team that fits the needs of the business.

Qualifications:

1-3 years previous restaurant management/supervisory experience in a comparable restaurant environment
3 years-experience running bar promotions, building bar sales including late night in a premium restaurant environment.
Flexible schedule availability to meet business needs, weekend/evening work is required.
Familiarity with bar and beverage trends and developments.
Creativity in crafting internal and external events.
Demonstrated understanding of attendees’ needs.
Willingness to delegate tasks and organize a team.
Ability to communicate and negotiate with external vendors and service providers.
Accomplished mixologist.
Diploma or degree in hospitality or culinary is considered an asset
Previous experience in bar manager role is preferred.
Prud'homme and/or Cicerone training is an asset.
WSET training is an asset.
Dedicated to meeting high standards.
Smart Serve Certification. Proficient in English verbal and written communication and possess great interpersonal skills. Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
