Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Shop Laborer to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be an essential part of our production process, supporting various tasks across the factory floor. Duties
- Assist with the assembly of products using hand tools and power tools, ensuring all components meet quality standards
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials throughout the facility
- Support the setup and breakdown of manufacturing lines, ensuring all machinery is prepared for production shifts
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and tools to maintain safety and functionality
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment by sweeping, disposing of waste, and organizing materials
- Collaborate with team members on inventory management, loading/unloading supplies, and staging materials for production
- Follow safety protocols diligently and report any hazards or maintenance needs immediately
Experience
- Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided
- Familiarity with assembly line processes and hand tools is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge or experience working with power tools enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Warehouse experience involving forklift operation is highly desirable; certification is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and safety compliance
