About Charity Fuel
At Charity Fuel, we are the dedicated partner for Canadian charities and not-for-profit organizations, helping them grow and thrive from start to success. We empower organizations by providing reliable, high-quality services—including CRA charity applications, incorporation, accounting, and professional website design. We are passionate about the nonprofit sector and are looking for a dynamic storyteller to help us amplify the impact of the communities and organizations we serve.
The Role
We are seeking a versatile and highly motivated Multimedia Content Creator & Interview Host to join our team. If you are a natural in front of the camera, a skilled shooter behind it, and an experienced editor who can bring it all together, this role is for you.
This position uniquely bridges the gap between long-form documentary storytelling and fast-paced social media content. You will be responsible for capturing high-quality photo and video content, conducting engaging on-camera interviews with nonprofit leaders, and editing deliverables that range from in-depth mini-documentaries to snappy, trend-aware clips for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentary & Social Videography: Plan, shoot, and light high-quality video content. You will be capturing authentic, documentary-style footage of community impact, as well as optimizing shoots for vertical social media formats.
- Interview Hosting: Serve as the on-camera face and voice for various video segments. You will research, prepare questions, and conduct conversational, empathetic interviews that translate well into both deep-dive documentary narratives and bite-sized social media hooks.
- Dynamic Post-Production: Own the editing workflow across multiple formats. Craft compelling narrative arcs for documentary-style videos, while also cutting, pacing, and formatting engaging short-form content optimized for current social media algorithms.
- Visual Brand Alignment: Collaborate with our marketing and web design teams to ensure all visual assets—from YouTube thumbnails to website feature videos—align with brand standards and campaign goals.
- Equipment Management: Maintain and manage all in-house camera, lighting, and audio gear suitable for both studio setups and run-and-gun documentary shoots.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in videography, photography, and video editing, with a demonstrated ability to produce both documentary-style narratives and engaging social media content (portfolio or demo reel required).
- Comfortable and charismatic on-camera presence with experience conducting interviews.
- Proficiency with professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and an understanding of social media platform specifications and trends.
- Strong understanding of lighting, audio recording, and framing for both controlled environments and unpredictable, on-location documentary shoots.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong passion for the nonprofit sector and community-driven initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing environments.
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation (commensurate with experience).
- The opportunity to work on meaningful, purpose-driven projects that directly impact Canadian charities.
- A collaborative, creative, and supportive team environment.
- Opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a link to your portfolio or demo reel showcasing your documentary work, social media content, editing style, and on-camera hosting. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
