Reports to: Director
Salary Range: $86,873 to $108,596 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Status: Permanent Full-time (Flexible remote/office work arrangement)

University Health Network (UHN) is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of Strategic Sourcing Specialist/Contract Specialist in our Procurement Department.

As a key member of the Procurement Management Office, the Strategic Sourcing Specialist/Contract Specialist, will support the delivery of savings through supply chain initiatives at UHN.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in a public procurement role, including demonstrated contract management and contract negotiation experience
Health care procurement experience is an asset
Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience
Solid experience working within a defined sourcing process/methodology
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrates a commitment to providing a high level of customer service, with an acute understanding of the customer and their needs; utilizes sound judgment and decision making
Demonstrated project management skills; ability to organize, control and coordinate a variety of activities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Ability to prioritize workload, manage unexpected occurrences and at the same time manage deadlines
Experience in administering terms and conditions of contracts
Knowledge and experience in materials provisioning and understanding of business and legal issues
Excellent communication skills combined with strong analytical abilities and mathematical aptitude required
Demonstrated experience in supplier relationship management and supplier qualification
Proven team player
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Contract Management software, SAP and Purchasing software
