Senior Business Systems Analyst
Department: IT
Location: Laval, QC (4204 boulevard Industriel, H7L 0E3)
Hybrid work: 3 days at the office and 2 days remotely
Type of employment: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours)
THE ROLE
We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior level Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, writing both frontend and backend requirements. They should be able to work with both front-end and back-end development teams. The candidate should be adept at breaking down complex requirements into smaller, manageable features and have a strong understanding of agile methodologies.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements

Write clear and concise user stories, capturing functional and non-functional requirements

Define acceptance criteria for user stories to ensure successful delivery

Work closely with front-end and back-end development teams to explain requirements and provide clarifications

Conduct research and analysis to identify data dependencies for the features being built

Build mock-ups and wireframes using tools like Visio or Gliffy to communicate design concepts

Create comprehensive business and technical documentation using Confluence and Jira

Act as a liaison between the business and technical teams, bridging any communication gaps

Collaborate with QA teams to validate and verify user story implementations
-
Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
We want you to join our team! Here's what we're looking for:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
Experience, Knowledge and skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst

Strong understanding of agile methodologies and working in an agile environment

Proficiency in writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and breaking down requirements into smaller features

Experience in creating mock-ups and wireframes using tools like Visio or Gliffy

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to ask insightful questions to understand business needs

Working experience with Confluence and Jira for documenting and tracking requirements

Basic knowledge of backend technologies and databases

Detail-oriented with strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team

Great to have experience with SAFe, Java, SQL, and Angular
